Successful Application of the Tomatis Method

It’s noteworthy that the Tomatis® Method has a positive impact on children with learning disabilities. The results of this two-year evaluation, conducted by John R. Kershner, Richard L. Cummings, and Barbara A. Kershner, demonstrate significant improvements in various areas. Children who completed the Tomatis® program showed significant progress in reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and academic performance. Additionally, there were improvements in their social behavior and attention span, as reported by teachers and parents. The study involved daily listening exercises with specially designed listening devices over a period of two years. The results indicated that children, after completing the program, showed improvement not only in academic areas such as reading, writing, and language but also in other aspects such as concentration, attention, motivation, and self-confidence. The authors concluded that Tomatis® listening training is an effective tool for improving learning outcomes in children with learning disabilities.
